# n8n

Set up n8n auto-provisioning with an admin account and access sync with an API key, including your account name and instance URL.

2. Click `Settings`.

3. Click `Enable 2FA`.

4. Copy the `MFA Secret` by clicking on `this text code` above the QR code.

5. Navigate back to Cakewalk and paste the `MFA Secret` into the corresponding field.

6. Copy the `One-Time Password`.

7. Navigate back to n8n and paste the `One-Time Password` into the corresponding field.

8. Click `Download recovery codes`.

Access Sync for n8n allows you to automatically synchronize user data with Cakewalk, including permission levels.

Your Instance URL is the address you use to reach n8n, for example `https://your-instance.app.n8n.cloud`.

Remove the trailing `/` if there is one. Use `https://your-instance.app.n8n.cloud`, not `https://your-instance.app.n8n.cloud/`.

<summary><strong>How can I create an n8n API key?</strong></summary>

1. Sign in to n8n.
2. Go to **Settings** > **n8n API**.
3. Select **Create an API key**.
4. Enter a label and set an expiration time. n8n requires an expiration, so note the date and rotate the key before it lapses or the sync stops.
5. On the Enterprise plan, choose the scopes listed above. On other plans there is no scope selector and the key carries full API access.
6. Copy the key.
7. Navigate back to Cakewalk and paste it into the `X-N8N-API-KEY` field.

#### Quick Setup

1. Navigate to **App Governance** → **n8n** → **Users table** → **Sync Users**
2. Enter your n8n Instance URL and API key
3. Users will sync automatically
