# Vercel
Set up Vercel auto-provisioning with an owner access token and access sync with a team scoped token, including your team ID.

How can I create a personal access token?
1. Navigate to Vercel and click on your user's avatar in the top right corner.
2. Click `Account Settings`.
3. Click `Tokens`.
4. Enter a recognizable token name.
5. Select the projects that should be in scope.
6. Select an expiration. Ideally choose `No expiration` to ensure auto-provisioning continues without interruption when the token would otherwise expire.
7. Click `Create`.
8. Copy the token presented and paste it into the corresponding field in Cakewalk.
Where can I find my Team ID?
1. Navigate to Vercel and click `Settings`.
2. Scroll down the page and copy the `Team ID`.

Access Sync for Vercel allows you to automatically synchronize user data with Cakewalk, including permission levels. Cakewalk reads the members of your Vercel team.

How can I create a Vercel API key for Access Sync?
Access Sync reads your team's members, which is a team level resource. The token must be scoped to the **team**, not to a single project. A project scoped token is refused on team level requests, so Access Sync will not work with one.
1. In the scope selector at the top left of the Vercel dashboard, switch to your personal account rather than a team.
2. Go to the [Account Tokens page](https://vercel.com/account/tokens), found under **Settings** on your account.
3. Enter a recognizable name for the token.
4. Open the **Scope** dropdown and select the team whose members you want to sync.
5. Select **All Projects**. This is what makes the token team scoped. Picking an individual project instead produces a project scoped token, which cannot read team members.
6. Choose an expiration. Pick the longest available so the sync continues without interruption.
7. Click **Create**, then copy the token. Vercel shows the value once, and it begins with `vcp_`.
8. Navigate back to Cakewalk and paste the token into the `Vercel Api Key` field.
Some teams require two factor authentication or SAML before you can create a token scoped to them. The dashboard tells you when that applies.
