The Cakewalk API enforces rate limits of 1,000 requests per minute to ensure fair usage and system stability.

What Happens When You Hit the Limit

When you exceed the rate limit:

1. The API returns a 429 Too Many Requests response.
2. The Retry-After header indicates how many seconds to wait before retrying.

Best Practices

• Batch operations: Group updates when possible instead of making individual calls.
• Implement exponential backoff: If you receive a 429 error, wait and retry with increasing delays.
• Monitor usage: Track your API call volume to stay within limits.
