# Google Workspace

Google Workspace connects to Cakewalk when an Administrator signs in and accepts the requested scopes. The shared flow in [Connecting an HRIS](/docs/platform-overview/connections-and-integrations/connecting-an-hris.md) covers what syncs and what happens after you save; this page covers the Google side.

### ✅ Before You Start

* You need a user who is an Administrator in your organization's Google Workspace account. Only Administrators can complete the setup.
* If you are not an Administrator: send the connection link to an Administrator so they can take over the setup, or ask them to make you an Administrator of the Google Workspace account.

### 🛠 Connect

1. In Cakewalk, go to **Settings → Data Sources → Users** and select Google Workspace.
2. Sign in with the Administrator account and accept the listed scopes when prompted. The connection flow shows the exact list. Once the scopes are accepted, the connection is complete.
