# Hailey HR

Hailey HR connects to Cakewalk with an access token you generate from your Hailey HR profile menu. The shared flow in [Connecting an HRIS](/docs/platform-overview/connections-and-integrations/connecting-an-hris.md) covers what syncs and what happens after you save; this page covers the Hailey HR side.

### ✅ Before You Start

* You must be assigned the "admin" role in Hailey HR.
* To check: follow the steps below and see whether you can open the **Access tokens** page. If you cannot, you do not have sufficient permissions. Ask a current admin to assign the role to your account or to complete the setup.

### 🛠 Connect

1. In Cakewalk, go to **Settings → Data Sources → Users** and select Hailey HR.
2. Log into your company's Hailey HR instance and click your profile picture in the top right corner of the page.
3. Click the **Access tokens** tab in the drop-down.
4. Give your access token a name of your choice and click the **Generate** button.
5. Click the copy icon to copy your newly generated access token.
6. Paste the value into the connection flow, then click **Set up integration**.
