Connect Humaans to Cakewalk as an identity source: the permissions you need and where to generate the API access token.

Humaans connects to Cakewalk with an API access token you generate in Humaans; for the shared flow, see Connecting an HRIS.

✅ Before You Start

• Your user role permissions must include Create and use API access tokens.
• To check: click the 3-dot menu in the top left and look for API access tokens, then verify you can see the Generate new token button. If you cannot, ask a system administrator to assign these permissions to your account.
• The account that creates the token must also have access to all user role permissions the connection flow lists. Admins can view all data points by default; for other roles, an admin must create or update a role with those permissions.

🛠 Connect

1. In Cakewalk, go to Settings → Data Sources → Users and select Humaans.
2. In Humaans, click the 3-dot menu in the top left, then API access tokens.
3. Click Generate new token, enter a label and select the required API token scopes. The connection flow shows the exact list.
4. Click Create access token, then Click to copy.
5. Paste the token into the connection flow, then Set up integration.
