Connect Personio to Cakewalk as an identity source: the plan and access rights you need, and where to create the API credential.

Personio connects to Cakewalk with an API credential you create in Personio's marketplace settings. The shared flow in Connecting an HRIS covers what syncs and what happens after you save; this page covers the Personio side.

✅ Before You Start

• You need a Personio CorePRO plan.
• Your Personio account needs two access rights: Account configuration → API (to create the API credential) and Account configuration → Marketplace Integration (to view its credentials).
• To check: open Settings in the Personio sidebar, then the API credentials tab under Integrations. If you cannot see the Settings button or the tab, ask a Personio system administrator for these access rights.

🛠 Connect

1. In Cakewalk, go to Settings → Data Sources → Users and select Personio.
2. Note your API domain: it is the same domain you use to sign in to Personio.
3. In Personio, open the marketplace page at https://<your subdomain>.personio.de/configuration/marketplace/connected and select Create custom integration.
4. Name the new connection, then enable the access rights and readable employee attributes the connection flow asks for. The exact list is shown in the flow itself.
5. Select Generate new credential, copy the credentials into the connection flow and finish.
