Remote

Connect Remote to Cakewalk as an identity source: the admin role you need and where to generate the API token.

Remote connects to Cakewalk with an API token you generate in Remote's Integrations section. The shared flow in Connecting an HRIS covers what syncs and what happens after you save; this page covers the Remote side.

✅ Before You Start

• Your account needs the Super Admin or Owner role in your company's Remote instance.
• To check: log into Remote and click the Admins & Permissions tab in the sidebar. If you cannot see the tab, your account does not have the required role. Locate your account in the Company admins table and read the ROLE column.
• If your role is not Super Admin or Owner, find out who holds one of these roles and ask them to assign you the Super Admin role or take over the setup.

🛠 Connect

1. In Cakewalk, go to Settings → Data Sources → Users and select Remote.
2. In Remote, click Integrations under the COMPANY section in the sidebar.
3. Locate the card titled Remote API and click Manage API.
4. In the top right corner, click Generate API token.
5. Enter a name for the token in the popup, then click Generate.
6. Click the ellipsis icon on the right side of the new token's row, click Copy token and paste the token into the connection flow.
